You are a content marketer. You’ve got a big job and an endless list of requirements and everyone wants something from you, every day, every hour, every minute.
And it’s tiring. You just want one meeting-free afternoon so you can properly work on your long-term content strategy and actually develop a niche for your company, that’s so different from your competitor’s content that no one would dare compare you.
But you can’t, because you’ve got a blog to edit, a whitepaper to write, a webinar to run, a podcast to listen to, a sales sheet to update. You think the next day will be different but it’s the same story, every day.
That’s where I come in. For a long time, I was a closeted content marketer too. I was an “I’m so awesome of course I can do this all I need no help” content marketer. But then, I needed help. I hired a freelancer who took on just one case study and I literally felt like I had gotten days added back into my life and made it to the gym that night. I asked a direct report to take over a project and could feel the stress leave my chest. I started working more proactively and less reactively so sales didn’t have to come with so many last minute requests because I was already on top of our plans.
Content marketers are asked to do a lot. Scratch that. You’re asked to do everything. With very little time and very little budget. And if you’re female, that’s even worse (we kinda have this thing about saying no – ehem, we can’t do it so well. We even delude ourselves to thinking we have to do everything right this second or else the entire company will fall apart). Here’s a secret: There’s a way out of the endless content marketing stress you’re feeling and it starts here.
I created this website because I know first-hand how stressful it is to be a female content marketer (and most of us are). I know how easy it is to fall into a trap of working reactively, with little to no planning, and how disastrous that can be for the business. And I know there’s a better way. This website is dedicated to showing you the better way *cue music,* with some laughs every now and then.
